Modu Series

The Future is now

by Holsting Design Studio

The Modu Series by Holsting Design Studio embodies the perfect fusion of design, technology, and material innovation. Every element of the collection is conceived to redefine the way functionality, aesthetics, and comfort coexist. Thanks to HYLEtech technology, the series integrates advanced lighting, audio, and connectivity solutions within ultra-thin, customizable surfaces. The result is a living environment where technology blends seamlessly with design, offering dynamic flexibility, sensory comfort, and a refined sense of modern elegance.

Sinergy between material aesthetics and technological flexibility

The TV Wall system redefines technological integration in home decor. Thanks to HYLEtech technology, the leather-covered wood paneling maintains an integrated lighting system with a reduced thickness of 1cm, concealing the entire electrical infrastructure within. The suspended unit features storage compartments with sliding doors, equipped with NEX-S Light lighting sources and anti-glare Dark optics for absolute visual comfort. The absence of wiring and visible sensors is made possible by electrified linear rails only 6mm wide: these allow freely moving the compartments along the surface, guaranteeing uninterrupted power supply and dynamic design flexibility. The interior lighting activates automatically thanks to built-in concealed sensors.

  • No visible wire or sensor
  • Electrified linear rails for the movement of the drawers
  • DMX-controlled lighting

Functional integration and multisensory comfort

A tailor-made solution for the bedroom, where the textile headboard becomes a discreet technological hub. Based on the HYLEtech (1cm) platform, the structure features suspended nightstands that can be adjusted in height by means of invisible electrified rails only 6mm wide, thus adapting to every ergonomic need. The lighting is designed to foster harmony and rest: the NEX-S Light technology projects a low-angle beam toward the floor (thanks to the lower onboard optics), preventing direct glare. The technological features are completed by internal USB charging stations and wireless charging systems integrated in the top, while the HYLEtech storage bed outlines the space with an uninterrupted light frame.

Minimalist architecture and acoustic performance

Storage Wall represents the evolution of the wall system: a structure with matte black paint finish that combines storage and invisible technology. The core of the project lies in the electrified wall rails only 6mm wide that allow a free configuration of the suspended cabinets without wiring constraints. In addition to NEX-S Light - interior and under-cabinet - the system features the NEX-S Phono Absorb technology, turning the surfaces into active elements for sound reverberation control. The innovative NEX-S Audio system completes the experience: the panels themselves become sound membranes delivering high-quality music.

Composizioni

by Emanuel Gargano

The Compositions collection by Emanuel Gargano was the first design, art and architecture project to use HYLEtech technology. Compositions allows us to perceive objects and their aura; the parameter of the object is determined by the light’s intensity. Light thus contributes to the creation of a form, rather than merely illuminating it. Compositions radiates islands of light that attract and interact with each other.

Composition 7

24000 electrical connections, 72 HYLEtech plates organized according to the Fibonacci series. Storage for 1680 vinyls that leave a luminous trace each time one is removed.

Composition 14

60 blown glass blocks suspend a five shelf bookcase. Composition 14 allows selection of the block to be lit and its intensity. The innerlight reflected in the glass creates the effect of lanterns that illuminate books.

Composition 21

Composition 21 is a technological evolution for the table. A warmer for the collection of special porcelain dishes, a module that rises from the top, manages the service for water, wine, champagne, and integrated spaces for dining accessories.

Composition 28

A double surface for an electrified counter. The sharpness of the lines, emphasised by the HYLEtech, is a tribute to the aestethics of the Modern Movement.

Composition 35

It echoes the rigorous lines and geometry of the tables. Four metres of seating, light that spreads across the floor and defines the dining space.

Composition 42

A bookcase table with a double light perimeter that gives the impression of four magnetically suspended surfaces, without physical support.
